8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageA quiet powerhouse in the state, Ensign is a fabulous resource for the community. Rated Exemplary for many years by the state, and a standout in the city. This small school inspires loyalty and dedication from families as it inspires and provides personalized instruction and care to students. We can’t say enough about how valuable the educators at Ensign have been in our children’s lives.Parent Review2y ago4 Reviews - West High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThere is no policy that will make students go to class in place. My daughter learned early on how easy it is to sluff... Yes we had discussions... but kids are sluffing and walking around the school during class and nothing is being done about it. My daughter has been in trouble because of the teachers lack of getting assignments graded on time. Poor communication between parents and teachers as they never email you back about student progress or anything else. Fighting is always happening, and I feel a big part of that is because these kids are not going to class, nor are they being forced to.Parent Review2y ago9 Reviews - Innovations High School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy experience at Innovations Early college isn't the best but i got to live through it. One of the best parts is the freedom we get to work at our own pace. We have our own independent study time that lets catch up if were behind. I would say that the teaching style is not what people would like. For ex in math class , were assigned patterns to do the classwork. Isn't the teacher supposed to explain the lesson. That would be much better and i bet we would also learn better. Science is great. English in also great. But history , like what's even the point of having history class without a teacher teaching. They just make us read alone and do our work alone. C'mon guys! it feels too independent, and if you fall behind it can be hard to catch up. I also wish there were more fun activities and classes, like sports or clubs, so students could connect outside of class. . Having more fun activities would help everyone connect and feel more excited about coming to school. Overall its a 3.5-4/10.Student Review6mo ago2 Reviews - Check out schools near 385 E 3rd Ave.

"Very dog friendly! Dogs are also well trained for the most part. People mostly pick up the dog waste."

"It’s a very dog friendly area but sometimes people will take a walk in the neighborhood without a leash. This can cause problems with dogs who may be on a leash."

"Close to parks to walk your dog either at the elementary school or memory grove. Some people don’t pick up after their dogs which isn’t great. Don’t be that person. "

"Not a lot of kids in the neighborhood but college students and med professionals. Very quiet in the day time because neighbors are working. It is safe to walk around and many with dogs. There is a supermarket in the neighborhood so you don’t have to go far to get food and also a good restaurant just around the corner. "

"It’s a very safe neighborhood to raise children in! The neighborhood is beautiful and there’s multiple families living here safely. If I had a family I personally wouldn’t want to live anywhere in between A through E street on first avenue. It’s just a bunch of party kids that are in college. Everywhere else is a family friendly community. "

"I gave up on driving my car because it’s more of a hassle to find parking than it is to walk. I live on 1st Avenue and A street. There is no room for tenants park their cars even on the streets. I’m constantly getting tickets because my house is in the area 5 parking. "

"The upper aves area is fantastic. It's surrounded by doctors, judges, accountants, members of the symphony, and altogether interesting people. The Northcrest swimming pool is an excellent community center, and the neighborhood puts on fun activities and mixers several times a year."
