"There's several dog friendly neighborhood green ways and parks including an off-leash dog park. Also two bars on the Martini Corner allow dogs on the patios. "

"I lived in this neighborhood for over 30 years, it always had been a very diverse community. But in the last 5 year, this new wave of gentrification is making it unbearable. "

"Work from home means no commute but getting most places from our home is not difficult. Traffic is manageable and roads are well maintained. "

"This is a fun neighborhood in Halloween! Nice to be so close to Children’s Mercy Hospital. In the fall the trees are just lovely."
- George.thorman

"Most backyards are fenced, there are lots of dogs in the neighborhood, and most people seem dog friendly."
- Dpursell76

"There are often dogs running loose and that is scary sometimes but there are a lot of great dogs and owners too!"

"It’s really nice to be able to walk to so many different cafés and restaurants! It isn’t so great not really having any real grocery stores in the area."

"I have lived in Longfellow for a little over 2 years and it has been amazing! We are so close to Downtown, The Crossroads,The Plaza, Westport and even closer to Martini Corner...I love this neighborhood! I thought I always wanted to live in Brookside, but now that I live in this area, when I go down to the Brookside area, it just seems so far away from the pulse of Kansas City. With everything going on in the Crossroads, River Market and improvements in Midtown...I would buy here again in a heartbeat. I only see the prices of these homes going up. They are far bigger than most Brookside/ Waldo homes and there is still a city feel while living here. Also, I heard there is a health food market going in close.....SCORE!!!"
