"Great place to live with plenty of parks and young families. Good restaurants all around. Walk your dog at Harrison park, run, play tennis, and basketball."
  • Trulia User
"We don’t have community events. It’s filled with gang members. That personally I would not partake into community events with. "
  • Almayselag
"I was born and raised in the same house. Until i decided to move to texas i would say i just wanted my children in a calmer environment and honestly least if possible no crime to grow up in but i truly would not change anything about living in pilsen awesome unique experiences having been brought up there LOVED IT."
  • Dianasandoval
"Nice area to walk your dog. Owners chat and pick up after dogs. Neighbors say hi to one another. Everyone is very respectful of one another."
  • Jennychavez23

  • Mr.ghizo
"Like the variety of dog/dog owners and open spaces. Might not like owners who don’t pick up after dogs."
  • Alexandergrooves
"Lots of parking and the neighbors are awesome. Close to downtown and other great neighborhoods like Pilsen. "
  • Alexandergrooves
"I’ve lived in this neighborhood for over 7 years. Love my neighbors. We shovel snow for each other during the winter and watch out for one another year round. "
  • Eleanor L.
"I love this area. Nice quiet streets. Lots of family. So close to so many good foods. Pete’s fresh market around the corner my all time fav. Close to downtown. Lots of public transit options. Feel lucky to be here."
  • Noah L.
"most of the dogs in the neighborhood are either pit-breeds or Chihuahuas. there isn't much Green space."
  • Martellelizabeth
"The diversity that once was more dominant in my neighborhood is what kept me here. I want to be able to add on to the culture and sense of community before it’s fully gentrified. "
  • Kevin
"There's an art crawls the second Friday of every month and street events/fairs every two weeks during the summer."
  • Jewelpools
"Near Malcolm X college campus and united center I walk to union station from here and that location is very nice. Surrounding area does not seem nice and I have been told not to go west alone. Security is high and at campus police are present not too cozy feeling"
  • Sofia A.
"Harrison park, all the sidewalks and coffee shops, locals shops, restaurants etc totake breaks at when walking your pup."
  • Jordan W.
"I’ve lived here for a year and the neighborhood comes alive in the summer. Life revolves around beautiful Harrison park, the food, the little league and the pink line"
  • Trulia User
"I have lived in this neighborhood the last 5 years. It’s very quiet most of the time. The restaurants on Oakley are fabulous! Friendly neighborhood I love it! Parking sucks though"
  • Melitios77
"Trash on the sidewalk and streets. Gives the impression that neighbors don’t care about neighborhoods. "
  • Imani W.
"There are many festivals, carnivals and block parties that make this neighborhood come alive. It has many schools and parks and the people are very friendly. "
  • Melitios77
"There is trash everywhere. There is not a culture of pride in neighborhoods. I want to move from here. "
  • Danielapadilla47
"My neighborhood has great access to public transportation. Plus everything you need is near.only 15 minutes away from downtown. "
  • Tony D.
"we have many events that happen throughout the summer. The neighborhood has been gentrified now the values of the homes and rents are being raised do to this community being gentrified. Do not be fooled there is still crime and gangs in this area and might seem safe but that is just a cover up. "
  • Hector M.
"Theres Art everywhere you go. Mexican restaurants. Local grocery stores. And the commute is perfect. Not to mention theres atleast 3 highways to het across town with in a mile radious. The hispitals are just 5 minutes away. Downtown is 13 minutes away from pilsen, in train."
