That being said, the traffic in Hammond is very seldom bad, so commuting around town is never an issue. Going to and from Baton Rouge can be a problem if travel times aren’t considered. "

        "Full of drugs , a lot of young boys doing things that are not good for their lives, school system is so far behind you might as well home school then . The special education teachers do not do much with the children who are mentally or intellectually disabled . Resources are severely limited here and I wouldn’t advise anyone to move here , but a semi ok place to visit "
