Community Description

The Preserve at Walden is a one-of-a-kind community located North of Colorado Springs and a short drive from Monument Colorado. The lots include a variety of mountain and water views along with rolling hills and evergreen trees.
The lots are spacious in a beautiful mountain setting, but still part of a community with excellent schools, nearby shopping, and many other amenities. It truly is living in nature within reach of the city.

The amenities at Walden Preserve separate this community from all others. With 4.5 miles of trails and 93 acres of open space for hiking, biking, and fishing, minutes from the Flying Horse Golf and Tennis Country Club, and a fully functional utility system eliminating the need for wells and septic systems. Walden provides access to community water, cable television, natural gas, and electricity. The Walden Preserve community offers the perfect
OPEN SPACE
Walden can offer these features because of our open space and rolling hills that offer views of the Rocky Mountains and Pikes Peak along with trails and quiet mountain ponds. With 4.6 miles of trails and 92 acres of open space, Walden offers a rich outdoor experience for residents including hiking, biking, and fishing in one of Colorado's most colorful settings. Enjoy the best of Colorado winters as the ponds freeze over, and snow covers the land. In the spring enjoy Colorado wildflowers, green grasses, and bright blue skies. The summer brings moderate temperatures, perfect for enjoying the trails, fishing in the ponds, or staying home for a barbecue on your deck.

UTILITIES
The Preserve at Walden has all the utilities you would expect in the city. Water & Sewer are provided by the Walden Corporation. All of the homesites in the Preserve at Walden that are approximately 3/4 acres in size (lots #1 to 73) have central water and sewer service provided by the Walden Corporation. All of the remaining homesites approximately 2.5 acres in size are served by individual well and septic systems.

  • Trulia User
"HORRIBLE PLACE TO LIVE Sketchy people everywhere School shooting warnings and threats Do not move here if you are a family trying to raise kids "

"I’ve lived in this neighborhood for almost 5 years and we love the quietness here. The schools are what keeps us around. "
  • Andrew K.
"I work from home. The only commute I have is taking my kids to school and picking them up from school. The main roads (Academy, Powers, Freeway do get busy during commute times but it isn’t that bad"
  • Douglas C.
"there are no events planned around here it is a quiet well kept neighborhood. there are walking paths nearby that allow you to walk your dogs "
  • Jasmine
"I never really saw a lot of people out walking their dogs unless it was to a nearby park. Although there were always a lot of dogs at the parks and they seemed to be having a good time. "
  • Viccruikshank
"Growing too quickly and too much. Traffic accidents all night long, but it should be heaven for people coming from even bigger cities."
  • Brandon H.
"not a lot but bbqs and the like abound and it's always a hive of good friendly neighbors who look out for one another "
  • Brandon H.
"the people are friendly. the area is beautiful. and it's my birthplace so I tend to be opinionated about it lol."
  • Zeus7.jdwj
"long and bad drivers make it dangerous as many run red lights and tailgate and speed no matter what time your on the road"
  • Coskunkel
"Great neighborhood. Good for kids, nice sidewalk good biking and hiking paths. Nice parks and trails that are kid friendly."
  • Lisa Potter
"I love my neighborhood. Great people to interact with. I love that we have become friends with several others. Love Lorson Ranch"
  • Ebony L.
"I’ve lived here for less than a year. It seems to be pretty peaceful and quiet on most days. No recent near by crimes. I’ve literally seen neighbors with their door open late at night. I don’t ever recommend that but they’ve been here longer than me. It shows their level of comfort. There is a third party security guard whom periodically patrols the area throughout the day and evening time. If you’re looking for something temporary it’s a pretty decent neighborhood but the homes are pretty outdated. "
  • Mz.right777
"too much construction but that's just Colorado Springs, construction everywhere. "
  • Borealdragonfly
"currently, some neighbors are friendly, but we also li e across the street from a home that burned down over a year ago and is still a hazard."

  • Karissa E.
"I love where I live! I am close to everything, except for the far south and west sides. I am conveniently located near plenty of shopping, restaurants, and entertainment. The Sky Sox stadium is only 10 minutes, as well as mini putting, golf courses, and movie theaters. One of my favorite things is the open space and trails within my neighborhood where I can safely walk my two dogs. "
  • Doreen
"there are multiple dog owners on our block and in our neighborhood. A very pet friendly neighborhood "
  • Doreen
"neighborhood celebration at Radiant Church off of Maizland and Academy. Holiday celebrations especially."
