  • Lcountertop
"We live in a beautiful gated deeded community right on the harbor in Port Charlotte. There are 3 boat clubs/yacht clubs in the local area and many activities associated to boating. Charlotte Harbor provides a great resource to Port Chsrlotte. We have newly established parks at the foot of the 41 bridges and walking paths over both bridges - just beautiful. We have Charlotte Harbor beach which few people seem to know about. Immaculate, tennis courts, small swimming pool, and small beach with community buildings and baths, a boat ramp, and easy put in for kayakers. 100s of parking spaces too. It’s a hidden treasure. Still in Port. Charlotte Harbor is the Cape Haze bike trail. It runs for 16 miles in each direction - perfect flat well maintained paved trail with gorgeous animal habitat and bridges across living estuaries full of all kinds of bid species. The list of activities and community events available is too many for this. "

  • Ann S.

  • Melanieboozan

  • Ann S.

"Nice area to walk your dog. Areas where you can run with your pet. Most folks keep their dogs on leashes for their safety and the safety of other pets."
  • Wmas3
"Too many dogs and neighbors don’t like them. Coyotes everywhere so small dogs are at risk. Some vicious dogs run free. "
  • Jenn M.
"Good schools, but a challenge when you have a child in a year-round elementary school and the other in middle or high school. Difficult when the school calendars do not line up. Overall, Sage and quiet area. "
  • Jtridle1
"I feel safe here. I love that it is 4-5 minutes to the mall and sams club yet there is wildlife, many birds, bobcats, gopher turtles, raccoons. Close to nice beaches."
  • Paul.O
"Ive just moved here in the last year. ive found that most families are either snowbirds or temporary renters. theres not the strong se se of community that you find up north. Most people keep to themselves but once you get out and about and introduce yourself everyone tends to be friendly. The parks are nice. theres lots of children for my son to be friends with from the local school. what little neighbors i do have are all very friendly. since the market has gone up... everything is for sale im happy with the town and the cost of living i.e.the taxes. the only sore spots seem to be tge sewers that they're integrating putting a $12,000 levy on the homes. thats a problem And theres NO SIDEWALKS!! These kids have to walk to tge bustop early in the morning while its still dark out. and its extremely dangerous for them they cannot be visibly seen and can be run over at any given time. those are the only problems i can think ofother than that things are kept tidy police and emergency services are always readily available a nice place to live. "
  • Paulandrosez
"We have a fabulous activity center with a pool, hot tub, exercise room with classes, movie night, library, pickleball, tennis, along with many other activities. Beautiful areas to walk in our gated community of Riverwood."
