"Excellent, short, low traffic volume except during peak hours but no difficulty getting onto the road"
  • Trulia User
"Movie nights in the park, art walk, maine street shops and galleries & restaurants … a true art vibe "
  • Tristan
"I’ve lived here for over a year and have always felt very safe, even when walking my dog late nights"
  • Tristan
"There is no unsafe area of Brunswick. I have taken late night walks with my dog downtown almost every night for the last year and have never seen something that made me feel in danger. "
  • Jessica Martin
"I used to live here and my family lives here so i moved back. It’s very friendly. I am familiar with the area."
  • Tombreault
"We used to have resident gat together’s. Some neighbors have become snow birds. We have a few new owners. Social gathering have become extinct. "
  • Bumblebeesme3
"They can walk them literally anywhere at any time. Also there are parks in the area that allow dog owner to bring their dogs on trails."
  • Melissa_73
"Dogs are welcome. People are always walking them and always cleaning up after their own. This neighborhood has mainly lap sized dogs."
  • Ana.and9938
"I’ve lived here for three years. At first I wasn’t happy because it wasn’t my choice to live here. But after about two year of living here, I have fallen in love with this small town. I feel safe and I am able to walk around at 3 am with no worries. I love to explore. I always seem to be discovering new nooks and crannies everyday. There’s always something new, even when I feel like I have seen it all. The restaurants are nice and the people are usually lovely. Little Tokyo is something you must try while you are here! (As long as you’re a Japanese food lover) If you are deciding on coming to Brunswick, I say go for it. It will be worth your while."
  • Pam B.
"This is a family friendly neighborhood, great bike trails down the street, walking distance to town, access to Bowdoin College."
  • Pam B.
"Walking your dog in the neighborhood is a wonderful way to visit with your neighbors. There are very few cars so most of the time you can just walk in the road. Everyone picks up after their dogs."
  • Bdebasitis
"I have no children, but schools seem good. The Rec center has many summer and winter programs. Apparently, I need to write more to have my comments accepted."
  • Katie W.
"For some reason we have a lot of traffic in our neighborhood, but otherwise, it's lovely. Also, Coffin School is great but looks rundown - they have a great head teacher and they put the interests of the kids first. HBS is more rule oriented and is far too big for an elementary."
  • Cathy C.
"great place to live. walks are great in the woods trails. biking is easy. bus service is easy. lots of kids ride bikes to school and back."
  • Geoffrey
"easy access to I_295 and route 1. Community is vibrant in the summer months and has access to the ocean and rivers. "
  • Dsheehan4141
"Good school system and great community who supports everyone who lives in it. Tons of free community events in town, Halloween parade, farmers market, skating rink. "
  • Liz.garrett
"It’s about a 15 minute drive with little traffic. It’s mostly backroads and a little route one. When I lived here I worked in Freeport "
  • Katie
"This is a nice, walkable community with good local schools, a great public library, and lots of amenities. Love it!!"
  • Emilyoleksykmoore
"it's fine. not too far from most anything rural or urban. train downtown goes to Boston, as do the busses "
  • Gina s.
"I love all of the shops and great green space on Maine Street. The Androscoggin bike path is a great place to go for a pretty walk"
  • Diane J.
"Lived here for 18 years. Very peaceful, safe and beautiful place to live!"
  • Diane J.
"Lived here for 18 years. Absolutely loved raising my kids here! Very safe place for anyone, any age, any time. "
  • Diane J.
"Close to everything, yet very peaceful, mature neighborhood. Elementary and Junior High schools are a few minutes walk from the house. High school is less than 2 miles, with bus stop 2 houses down. Police, fire, groceries, train and bus stations are all within 1 mile. "
  • sheilametals
"Near great restaurants. Walk to Amatos. 2 hospitals nearby. Bowdoin College campus and the Maine State Music Theatre. Amtrack Downeaster free long term parking. Near the ocean."
  • jennifertowler
