"I’ve lived here for 37 years I know Huntington Beach in an out. There are great parts, good parts, and bad parts"
  • Trulia User
"I walk to work as my office is across the street. Its easy to get to stores via a car or walking. Driving to the next city only takes 10-15 minutes."
  • Dena L
"There are many people out walking their dogs everyday and I rarely ever see dog poop around the greenbelt or on the beach. "
  • Cdemogo
"We have lived in HB for 29 years. It used to be a sleepy little beach resort. Now that we are "on the map", traffic is terrible. If you live anywhere near Beach Blvd, Adams, Goldenwest or any of the other major streets (which there are many) you will hear traffic, especially motorcycles. Of course, this is just the price we pay for living in a city with great weather, access to upper scale shopping, freeway close to Disneyland, mountains and the desert. If you are considering HB and have never been here, I would consider visiting on a weekend so you can see and hear the impact the traffic will make on your daily life."
  • Frank P.
"I work based at home so I couldn’t tell ya. But it’s close enough to downtown when I have meetings down there to ride my bike down. And good access to freeways, the most I commute is to North County SD or Beverly Hills."
  • Alismithhb
"Huntington Beach has great schools and great neighborhoods. We’re also known as The Surf City. It’s a beautiful place to raise a family."
  • Monique M.
"Lots of untrained dogs off leash. The owners don’t always clean up after their pets. Fleas are a problem in the summer too"
  • Framesm62
"It’s Huntington Beach what more can you ask for. Weather is gorgeous and the city is safe. Beach is close by for outdoor activities"
  • Maya C.
"Nice place to raise kids excellent schools and well kept neighborhoods. I grew up here and currently have a small business. "
  • Kimberley A. A.
"good place to raise a family most are friendly most neighborhoods are quiet and peaceful beautiful scenery"
  • Justmiggles
"I drive daily to my place of work in Brea... It typically has traffic at the 22 FWY, 5 FWY, and 57 FWY interchange..."
  • Sonia T.
"HUntington Beach seems safe although there are some unique characters especially in downtown. HUntington Beach has a lot of activities to offer and is great for family fun. "
  • Lillyan H.
"The area I live in is children friendly and has many families that spend time with one another. The neighbors are super nice "
  • Honeynnino
"We just moved here from NYC and we love the community vibe here. Everyone is friendly and neighbors pretty much looks out for each other. We love that our area has everything that we need whether it’s shopping or the beach everything is very close. (Less than 10 mins.)"
  • Angelia S.
"This neighborhood is close to the beach and has plenty of near-by entertainment. There is a local liquor store and plenty of restaurants. "
