"People love dogs in Salado. Walkable and local business are not bothered with dogs in their stores. Almost every business has watering dishes for dogs outside their doors."
  • Jenny6eng
"We live on a couple of acres, so dogs are in almost every yard. Lots of people walk their dogs in the area and some, unfortunately, let their dogs run free, but most respect their neighbors and care for their pets enough to keep them fenced and safe."
  • Jenny6eng
"It is friendly, but quiet and peaceful. I love all of the trees. I love that there is very little traffic and the neighbors care about their property and neighbors."
  • Eric J.
"Every Christmas the city puts up a lot of decorations and lights on main street. It is very beautiful "
  • Lisassanchez
"I love the large lots and country feel. It is worth the extra drive to live away from the cookie cutters and in a custom home community."
  • Derek B.
"Neighborhood is quiet and family friendly. Downtown Salado is fun and has great places to eat and drink with friends and family. Community guidelines are well respected."
  • Jessica S.
"There are too many people around here that leave their dogs in their back yard all day and/or night. Their dogs bark at you or your pets or anything they see. Then it sets off your dogs from in the house because they can hear those dogs barking. It’s really annoying that people are too lazy to let their dogs inside when they hear them causing a nuisance. "

"Salado is a very safe neighborhood with a demographic consisting of mainly 50+ yr old home owners. "

"I have lived in Salado for about seven years, moved from East Texas and never looked back. My children both attend the best public school district in Central Texas. The Elementary School Principle knows every student by name and knows the parents. What I love most is how the teachers and the principle greet the students in the morning and supervise the afternoon pickup. The community is incredible, with festivals throughout the year, great parks for the family, plentiful shopping on Main Street, and lots of local cuisine (only two chain restaurants). I don't normally write reviews, but this community is worth it to have the recognition it deserves. "

"Salado has the best of everything you want in small community and close enough to everything else. "
