4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is horrible!!! My children have had issues with the asst. principal being rude and saying hurtful things to them. The current principal does not do anything to improve the school. The former principal Mr. Keith was amazing, and he went above and beyond to help a child or parent. When he left, the school really went down hill. My son is now in 3rd grade and cannot read very well. I have brought this to the administrations attn since he was in Kinder, and now my child is finally getting help. The teachers do try, and I have nothing negative to say about them. The teachers my children have had have been great. They do the best they can, but with almost 30 kids in a class it is hard to teach. The PTO also tries, but the parents do not want to get involved. The PTO really needs more support. They are doing everything they can to improve things for these kids. I would not recommend this school to anyone. It is a horrible school, and I cannot take my children out soon enough. If you have a special needs child, you can forget about him/her getting any additional help. The admin (except for the nurse/front office) are horrible, and so is the school board.Parent Review9y ago - Tonopah Valley High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school has serious discipline issues. Both of my children were bullied not only by students but teachers as well. They issue a discipline card to student and process to mark it for things like dropping your pencil on the floor but do nothing about students hitting others and calling names. They also took away transportation to all students except kindergarten. They only notified the parents 3 weeks before school started. I don’t see how this school received a 6/10 on school grades. I saw my children’s education slipping behind what they had already learned in a different district. I would have never bought a house in this neighborhood if I knew more about this school.Parent Review1y ago - Check out schools near 30346 W Sheila Ln #4TFMTQ.

"It’s a new neighborhood and I’ve been here nearing a year now. There’s not a lot around, but the I-10 is close by, and there are lots of shops close by because of the 10. Tartesso has a lot of growing room in the next years, and it’s definitely a place I can imagine families of any description will be happy. Schools are close and there are parks featuring water features in the neighborhoods. It feels very safe and like a neighborhood should be; friendly neighbors, kids playing, people walking down the streets. "

"We moved here about two years ago from Wisconsin and my wife and I love this place. It's peaceful nice and quiet, hardly any traffic. It's a good place for walking, running and biking. We have two parks both have swings and rides for the kids basketball, baseball and tennis courts and picnic areas. There's one Elementary School that's in walking distance, Middle School and High School students have to take the yellow buses to their school. The downside for some people is there is no public transportation in this area. There are no shops, no stores, no gas stations or convenient stores to be found. (Remember I told you that we're in the country, lol). The nearest gas station is about 13 miles away and that's where everything else is. We're 5 miles from the nearest expressway (I-10). If you're thinking about moving to Tartesso make sure that you have good reliable transportation. If not than you should have lot's of money for cab fare or a good friend to drive you back and forth. The community is made up of families with kids, singles, couples and retirees. If you like what you just read then come on down and we'll leave the light on for you."
