This is by far one of the most engaged school districts we have been a part of on all levels. I have found when students or parents obsess over on area, they need to take a little more accountability and have a bit of a reality check. Sports- if you aren't good enough, you won't be picked. If your child is ED, well thank yourself and other parents for making it impossible for school districts to find funding, teachers that will stay becuase of some of their behavioral problems, and a district that has their hands tied for parents who are sick and tired of their student not learning becuase the teacher is dealing with behavioral problems. This school and district had met or exceed all of our expectations.

As a parent, I can honestly say Timber Ridge Elementary is everything you’d hope for in an elementary school and more. From the very first day, we felt welcomed—not just my child, but our whole family. The staff, teachers, and administrators go above and beyond to make every student feel like they belong.The teachers here are absolutely incredible. They don’t just “teach the standards”—they really get to know the kids. My child isn’t just a face in the crowd; the teachers know their strengths, challenges, interests, and even their quirks. That personal connection makes all the difference. I’ve seen my child grow academically, but also gain so much confidence and joy in learning because of the encouragement and care from their teachers.One of the things I love most about Timber Ridge is the focus on the whole child. Yes, academics are strong (my child has been challenged in math, reading, and science in ways that feel exciting and engaging), but they also prioritize social-emotional learning. Programs like morning meetings, leadership opportunities, and positive behavior systems teach kids kindness, empathy, and responsibility. My child has come home talking about teamwork, grit, and problem-solving—skills that go way beyond the classroom.
