She has started concurrent classes at UCO and is more than prepared for college level work. 8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe recently moved to the State and the City. As a former teacher for 12 years, I know understanding what teaching involves and how challenging it is. I always give the teachers and administrators the benefit of the doubt. My daughter, who has ADD/ADHD started attending school this year and her first semester she did very poorly. We blamed he mostly because since we were knew, I didn't monitor. The disappointing thing is that only one teacher contacted us about her grades. One I contacted, basically told me she just graded their assignments/tests and gave input there. There is hardly no communication between school and home. Zero, except when they miss school (this means money lost for the district). If the teachers are not motivated, administration doesn't care why should students care? Having worked in almost all Title 1 Schools this was not the case with me or with the schools I worked. Very disappointed about the state of our educational system. My daughter has done well the second semester.
