Community Description

In the beautiful city of West Fargo, you will find The Wilds development located just south of 52nd Ave and East of Sheyenne Street. This is the perfect place to call home for young families and those looking to be close to ponds, parks, several walking/biking paths and the West Fargo School district. Nudging the Horace city limits, with farmlands extending to the west, The Wilds marks the furthest southwest extent of Fargo's current city limits. "This area is so new, there is a unique blend of the quaint, small-town atmosphere, and the ability to travel to the heart of West Fargo in mere minutes," says Erik Wall, Army Veteran, Realtor & Team Owner of the Wall Street Realty Team brokered by eXp Realty. Still under development, it's a master-planned community of tightly packed homes along quiet side streets, with subdivisions like The Ranch separating themselves within the community. A centrally-located elementary school sees neighborhood children walking together in the mornings or a long drop-off line as parents drop their kids off on the commute to work. In the evenings, parents return from work - Microsoft, North Dakota State University, Bobcat and Sandford Medical are just four of the many large employers that call Fargo home - and head out to stroll the sidewalks with their dogs or play pickleball at the park.

"Love the established trees, quiet neighborhood, friendly neighbors, nice yards, close to shopping, restaurants, and home improvement. I would stay if I had a choice but my situation calls for me to move. Anyone who moves here would love it. It has a small town atmosphere yet it is a small city. "
  • Mike.debora
"Peaceful and friendly. A safer neighborhood to live in. Seems more like a small town atmosphere. People actually smile and wave. "
  • Mike.debora
"Everyone here seems to be animal lovers. You see lots of dog walkers, yet it’s quiet. I have never seen any problems with dogs or owners. And any animal that comes up missing is quickly posted in Next Door, or is it the Neighborhood app. LOL I can never remember the name. But I read it most days. "
  • Tjmiyf
"Light traffic. Well maintained streets. Commute is less than 15 minutes to downtown Fargo from West Fargo. "
  • Dori C.
"this area has many families living near each other, close to parks, dog parks, schools, shopping, and entertainment."
  • Angel A.
"My neighborhood has very friendly people and they are all so accepting and helpful! One time though, my dog got loose and was barking at another dog, I could swear the other dog was about to attack my dog and the lady kept saying she was going to call the police on my dog! Ridiculous!"
  • Trulia User
"We’re a little bit off the beaten path. There is a bus that comes out really that can take us to West acres, otherwise we have to use Senior transit and that is overbooked and off and there’s a two week waiting period so often times we have to miss doctors appointments. The construction is a nightmare on Sheyenne ....Trying to get to I 94 and then that suicide during regular rush-hour traffic in the morning and in the evening… So we could use improvement."
  • Dori C.
