6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePrincipal is very fake. I don’t believe she genuinely cares about the children. The teachers are hit or miss, some great, a lot not so great. Front office staff is rude. My 2nd grader missed his bus home one afternoon , and they blamed him for not being where he was supposed to be, when the real issue was a teacher not calling out his bus number. Front staff was extremely rude about it. Another time, my son was sent to the library to learn “virtually” all day because he took his mask off when he couldn’t breathe. The pandemic has shown the true colors of the school, and sadly, they’re lacking. I asked for physical worksheets to be sent home for my 2nd grader (who spent most of 1st grade virtual) so he could physically work on his handwriting. The teacher’s response was that they don’t do that. So I had to order my own worksheets. They rely way too much on technology to teach kids, rather than building fine motor coordination with pencils, paper, glue, and scissors. Overall they’re going downhill from where they were a few years ago when my children first attended KES (2019).Parent Review4y ago8 Reviews - Summerville High School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is my first year at Summerville high and I can say without a dought in my mind that this school is awful. There are so many problems when you start looking closer for example, in my pe class for the first 30 minutes of that class we just sit there and it is called our reflection time but the pe teachers just use it as a time so they can talk about random stuff I here them they are talking about food and other none important stuff that I did not sign up for. most of their equipment is either broken or just mangled, for example a week ago when I was grabbing a badminton racket mine was bent out of shape so bad it looked like a potato chip and the school says that they are going to borrow more from another school. and maybe they would not have to do that if they didn't spend so much on the football team. I mean every half year they get a new redone field and new jerseys and pads if even one of them breaks. and they just added the 600 building a couple years ago witch added a bunch of new classes thankfully but they cut anyway that they can for example the food it is just not good the food I scold sometimes or the pizza is just rubber and cheese and I don't even know if it is cheese. and some of the teachers don't even try or they treat us like kinder gardeners and I would love to learn as much as I can there is so much stuff I would like to learn but the school does not offer any of it and the school I always trying to take our money, everyday they have snacks you can buy for like 200% the price. and the prom that is coming up it cost 50$ to join that is so unreasonable and it is most likely going to the football team.Principal Review3mo ago29 Reviews - Charles B. 6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDubose is an awful school. There are a lot of fights and several kids do bad things. (iykyk) The lunch sucks too. Buses are crazy. There is not enough work to do most days. We do very few projects and when we do, you have to do them at school. I am the type of kid that enjoys homework (I know) and the teachers never hand it out. The fine arts department is good, though. The band program is amazing and so is design and modeling. Most of the teachers are nice.Student Review11mo ago11 Reviews - Check out schools near 800 Orangeburg Rd #KXD2BM.

"Family friendly and for the most part safe place for kids. Friendly people and good area. Recommend checking your zip code if you have kids to see what school is in that area because you’ll get zoned to that school. We don’t know that but got lucky with our son’s school. We love it and love it’s a mix of locals and others. Also love it’s still growing. "

"It is horrible. No matter what time you leave your home it’ll take you an hour to go 30 miles. The road rage is everywhere, due to people moving in from other areas for so called work. They should stay in their State and vote different!"
