6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child and his friends have said they don’t think speaking to an adult about conflicts in the school is helpful. Funding pretty much seems to funnel into sports. The staff is rude and unhelpful. Communication is poor and there have been serious financial consequences to us due to this. There has been threats of shooting, weapons, multiple lockdowns and an unsafe “trend” with next to no information regarding the details of these incidents. My child reported to me that his friend was being bullied to the point that the other child’s older brother ran over their dog and nothing was done when this was reported, which sounds ludicrous but I don’t see why any child would lie about such a thing.Parent Review1y ago3 Reviews - Norwalk Senior High School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a recent graduate, I can say that I enjoyed by time at Norwalk. There are many opportunities to get involved in the community and many more ways to pursue your academic goals. I personally found the administration (and especially the Dean's Office) easy to talk to and open to my questions and concerns. Considering our rather high test scores and wealth of academic opportunities both on and off campus, I think that Norwalk served as an amazing preparatory environment as I head off to college.Student Review9y ago5 Reviews - Oviatt Elementary School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageGenerally a very attentive preschool but not enough information on the threat of gun violence. Teachers are kind and understanding despite busy schedules. I appreciate the calming activity that has been taught to my child. Weekly newsletter is comprehensive and organized. Very happy with the consistent ability to see actual pictures of what they were doing in class. I wouldn’t enroll your child if you plan to go beyond elementary school though.Parent Review1y ago4 Reviews - Orchard Hills Elementary

"I’ve lived in Norwalk for 19 years. It’s close enough to Des Moines but far enough away to keep it safe and quiet. I would not move for 100 years."

"I drive twenty minutes on Highway 5 on my way to work. It is somewhat of a hectic drive. The commute gives a person some time to think and plan the day."

"We live on 2 acres and are surrounded by the city limits. Our neighbors have 5 acres. That is why we don’t have a sidewalk and see people walking their dogs."
