5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is very good. It's not to big and the teachers are for the most part good. They need to up their game on swearing and bullying. Last year and this year over 5 fights have broken out between these two school years and no teachers stepped in, even when the fights were right outside their classrooms. In the hallway, people say the n word and the f-slur wayyy too often.Student Review1y ago8 Reviews - Lancaster High School

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePoor. If you are interested in keeping up with the jones' than this school is for you. If you want teachers to join in your support of raising respectful young adults than perhaps another district is for you. The teachers have no control over the students. A friends son got mouthy with a teacher, the teacher called the parents and the parents asked why they couldn't send the child to the principal or dentition. The teacher told the parents that they have to make so many attempts before ever sending a kid to the office. They would be in trouble for just sending a child down. I cannot understand this for the life of me. Lancaster will NOT fail a student. THREE teachers at 2 different Lancaster schools have privately admitted this to me. a grade of 42 magically becomes a 65 on paper. Its all about looking great as a district. "We" strive to have the best of everything and to BE the best at everything. I feel that my graduating class was among the last to come out of Lancaster to have morals and a work ethic.Parent Review8y ago9 Reviews - William Street School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is a very good school. The building is 20 years old (a baby compared to almost every other school in the area) and is well designed and clean. Even though it has a big population, the teachers all work well with students as individuals and other teachers in the building know many of the other students, even if they're not in their class. The administrative team is fantastic, very visible and involved in all affairs of the school. The kids seem quite happy to be here and for good reason.Other Review10y ago3 Reviews - Check out schools near 4925 Genesse St #5K2JYL.

"I have lived at shady acres 10 plus years. It went from a happy fun loving comfortable place to live with hundreds of trees ,great people and respectful neighbors. That all changed once harmony communities bought the place . Once they bought it you are not treated like a tenant you are treated like property, they have made up rules on the fly , purposely fine you without any notification increase rent to the max every year with no justification, try to implement illegal extra charges . The management is a dictatorship along with his boss who will never call you back on a complaint or fix any bad situation. Horrible place to live, Horrible management. "

"I’ve lived in the neighborhood for 30 years. Even though it has what’s considered a Buffalo zip, it’s actually in the Town of Tonawanda. Good schools, great Town services. The neighborhood is very diverse, I’m white and a lesbian. We have “traditional” white families and also many new homeowners are immigrants from around the world. There’s a new playground in the area also a Boys & Girls Club that is great for after school care. We are within walking distance of the Niagara River with easy access to both the 190 and 290 expressways "

"Lots of walking routes and plenty of small park areas. High population means for more dog encounters for friendly pups but also more sniffing spots for those that prefer to avoid leash meetings with others."
