A family member was molested on the bus. Schools mental health staff were of no help. The family member developed depression and the students were and still are aloud to ride the bus.

Their Math and Rading scores are FAR below statewide percentages for Pennsylvania. Looking at surrounding schools the percentages are in the low to mid 80s for both, while WG Rice scores around a 65% reading, and 47% math. The secondary school in this district doesn't seem any better, while they spent how many millions making the exterior look nice. Put the money into the education, not the facade of a building.

Not the High School, the middle school. We have had a terrible experience. The leadership of support staff does not want to help. The principle Mrs. Reed rules with an iron fist and has her staff scared for their jobs in a school that doesn’t pay as well as the other schools. They fight parents (we have direct contact with several families with similar situations) they don’t want to help the student just check the boxes and move on. It’s so frustrating. If you are looking to a school with a struggling student look somewhere else. Support at this school is sub par. You always have a few that are dedicated but they are destroyed by principle Reed.
