I wish I would’ve taken the google reviews and the advice I was given by word of mouth seriously before ever letting my child set foot in this school. If you want your child treated fairly and just simply like a human being by not just their peers but the staff and personnel (as we all do) find a different school.

hey, I'm a former student at Rucker Stewart middle school I would not recomend this school is horrible the bathrooms are terrible no mirrors the took them down there are bugs infested in the bathrooms and there is chipped paint and crust everywhere there are roaches and the stall doors are broken and nasty doors and walls are all drew on and broken locks on all the bathrooms are broken this is unsafe and not okay what so ever would NOT recomend using the bathrooms. so far as class rooms desks are messed up drawing on them glue. highly RECOMMENDED NEVER SEND YOUR KIDS HERE the staff teachers principles dont care and never read ur statements its bad they wont do anything about bullying and its not bully free they don't teach the kids here well and they take phones up every minute for no reason its redicoulus its not okay this school needs to be tooken down and changed or the rules thank u for ur attention

My son is autistic and special needs. These teachers are amazing. They really go out of their way, above and beyond to help my son. They are enthusiastic and treat my son like he's a family member. My son considers them like a second family outside of home. He doesn't communicate much, but the love and care communicated to him, shows. I have detailed written daily reports and updates on how his day went, if he had behaviors, what they did that day. I never have to wonder. They have never given up on him through his ups and downs. I have complete trust. Not once have I dealt with any abuse situations like I did at other schools. At this school, my son is finally trying to learn, and he is healing from past bad experiences with other schools. We have to move out of this school zone and I am crying about it. I want parents to know if you have a special needs child assigned to this school, there is nothing to worry about with your special needs child and their IEP here. These are seriously hard-working and caring teachers and teacher aides who truly act like they love their jobs, pour into your child to get them ready for the world and take their job and your child seriously. They even let us know about special needs college programs from Vanderbilt that help special needs kids for your child's next journey in life. They also have special needs life skills and job training skills at Station Camp High School for my son as part of his IEP. These teachers and aides go above and beyond with the care they give for your child. I am so grateful God brought my son here and also devastated that we have to leave. I will never forget their kindness, care and dedication for my son and his learning. Thank you!
