teachers treat children with disabilities unprofessionally, racism is normalised and nothing is done about it, teachers care more about phone policies than kids getting beaten up or being actively bullied, weak suspension or punishment policies for bullies, principal engages in similar activities as the bullies themselves, certain staff treat kids going to the counsellors to report their bullying as a burden, student body feels to comfortable using various steriotypical slurs and no actions are taken against it, never allowed phones even after last period bell rings which makes student s unable to ever contact their parents, a certain teacher spotted with political bumper stickers endorsing donald trump a racist politician himself, makes students fearful of going to school, health ed is somewhat educational but does not go over other things or is too afraid to go over other things, very short time to turn in assignments which only benefits neurotypical students, a kind of caste system is implemented where popular kids get treated better by teachers than the quiet ones, policy for changing classes is too strict as it causes some people to still be in harmful environments because they aren’t allowed to switch, counsellors are nice which is the only positive aspect but they hold practically no power which they definetly should have more of, more and more people are switching to online school because of how draining and irresponsible this school and its staff are. also school lunch is terrible

some teachers or staff are very passive aggressive they dont try and understand or get to know especially when you haven't grown up here I'm from a poor family and they act like there better because they have money and its not supportive I've always had adults looking down at me and not trying to help me and I'm feeling it from this school yes this school has so much opportunities so that's why I'm still here I can care less about building a community where its obviously not meant to be I say just use it as a stepping stone to a better future then what you were going to have if you are low income.

DON'T SEND YOUR CHILD HERE! This school has a serious problem handling bullying. There's no follow through on the school's part in working with the bullies to change the behavior. If your child is unique or different in any way they will be targeted & traumatized repeatedly until their self-esteem is so shattered that they will need therapy. Teachers & staff don't hold bullies accountable for their actions. There are too many kids for the staff to effectively handle behavioral challenges. Bullies aren't taught kindness or compassion or to keep their horribly offensive opinions to their selves. While "weak," vulnerable kids slip through the cracks & get lost in chaos. Both of my kids were also taught a fixed mindset by bad teachers that thankfully retired & told that they have "terrible handwriting" but were never taught how to improve that skill. I've had to work with them to show them that handwriting is a skill that can be improved. There are good teachers that try their best but still don't do enough to prevent or deter bullying & the counselor(s) are spread too thin. My friend's kid was bullied so bad that they purposefully moved out of the district bc the middle school has an even worse reputation on handling bullying/harassment.Find a school with a smaller student body & a better track record on bullying.
