This is a terrible school, it does not actually prioritize your student’s education, and they only want control. On top of that the dismissal and school parking lot is absolutely awful, students are constantly late getting to work and home simply because the school administrators do not know how to properly release students and allow the buses to cut in front of cars which is extremely dangerous. Madison County School System as a whole is one of the worst in Alabama and should be ashamed of themselves.

Lack of communication is absolutely absent, safety from bullying (Nope), PE coach trash and your child will get bet up or hit in the worst way daily. Scared to speak up because of the bullies and feel defeated. Document, document everything you can do to protect your child. They will not contact you to inform you on what happen and send your child back home to you mentally/emotional destroyed. I can't or would want to make this up. No back pack/phone just back on the bus home and broken for parents.

I am quite shocked at the current low score (3/10) on Great Schools since it was a 9/10 when we first moved here in 2021. All three of my school-aged boys, all with IEPs, went or are there now, and we have had great experiences across the board. My older boys went from not being able to read at all when we got to Lynn Fanning in 1st grade to straight As within a year. They were well prepared for the intermediate school and are receiving gifted services now, and they usually still have straight As. The PTA is very involved in the school, and the teachers and administrators are all very responsive. I give them a 10/10.
