"Lots of walking paths and parks, and many are supplied with doggie bags. Dog friendly stores and restaurants."
  • Ramiall
"You see people walking their dogs all the time and pick up after them as well. Very dog friendly neighborhood."
  • Luisantonio Diaz
"Fairly easy and plenty of ways to get around. Major highways and roads offer plenty of options. Way easier than that Phoenix traffic "
  • Dk202013
"My neighborhood is unique because it blends community warmth with natural beauty. Early mornings are filled with the sound of birdsong, while evenings glow with desert sunsets that paint the sky in fiery shades. Neighbors greet each other by name, often sharing fresh produce from backyard gardens or lending a hand with small projects. Local shops and family-owned restaurants give the area a personal touch, offering flavors and traditions you can’t find anywhere else. Walking paths wind through parks where children play and families gather. It’s a place where diversity thrives, and every corner feels like home. "
  • Jasmyn Morton
"Shopping is close by and convenient. The neighbors are okay and mostly keep to themselves. It’s a quiet neighborhood."
  • Vincebon90
"We have an annual Halloween block party with our whole block being involved . With hay rides, bounce houses, snow cones and cotton candy machines."
  • Amy C
"We love this neighborhood, not just ours but the entire development if you’re looking at Estrella Mountain Ranch in particular. "
  • Lubo_li
"Just moved here and really enjoy the beautiful weather and neighborhood now. Look forward to exploring the place more"
  • Charlotte Algarin
"I feel comfortable in my neighborhood, I’ve been here almost a decade. I have neighbors I actually know by names. "
  • Deseri Montgomery
"Movie nights, fireworks at the lake, food trucks, Easter egg hunt and celebrations around the holidays"
  • Sandrapedraza639
"A lot of people decorate there homes very nicely for the holidays evenHalloween is fun for me once again with my kids and grandkids We all walk the neighborhood for Halloween and enjoy the fun festive decor at different homes in the neighborhood And we enjoy the beautiful Christmas lights at Christmas time as well I’ve lived here for almost 2 years now and we really like it My son and his family have lived in Goodyear for over 11 years now and they love it in Goodyear "
  • June Harrod
"We have been here since 1972… Not even the same place. It used to be a very small town where everybody knew everybody, now nobody talks to each other because they’re all new. Most of the new neighbors are not friendly… They want to be left alone, as do we, but we had friendly relations with all the neighbors that lived here beside us for 50 years before they all passed away. There is so much more traffic going up and down our street that neighbors are moving out because the new neighborhoods are using this little area for a cut through. We don’t even have street lights! Every neighbor out here had to pay for the pavement that is running up and down our street… We are county Island, not City, therefore, the city pays for nothing, and the roads are being all torn up with speeders, who have no concern for our neighborhood."
  • Mkresort
"Plenty of walking. Lots of lights. Dog parks are few. Plenty of trash cans and bags around the city. "
  • Sandrapedraza639
"I have loved living here in this neighborhood It has many parks And great places to walk with greenbelts sidewalks etc… Nice neighbors too"
  • Denisse Howlet
"Lovely place to live. New eating spots opening up. Close to the stores and 2 gyms. Traffic has increased due to 303 but makes it easy to get on i-10. "
  • Amy C
"The neighborhood used to be very family friendly, it’s quickly declining and feels more unsafe. City of Goodyear advertising all our HOA community events. "
  • Angie Pointer
"Live right by the new Goodyear recreation center and it is great. It also has a wonderful park with pickleball courts, tennis courts and basketball courts. Great area for grilling as well. "
  • Pamelafarthing
"Absolutely love living here. Great quality of life. Everybody is very friendly. Good year is clean and safe with lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. We enjoy walking our dog or riding our bikes through the park to one of MANY Starbucks. "
  • Jacqueline T.

  • Belliijelliis
"It is a very personal area. People stick to themselves. Neighbors don’t usually talk or converse in any way unless necessary."
  • K.L.C.T.
"We love our quiet and peaceful neighborhood in EMR. Most of our neighbors wave back and say hi. They are friendly. The ones with the Confederate Flag in their garage aren’t as friendly. "
  • Mbinder75
"The ball park always has events and there are great parks and hiking trails. You can ride your bike along the canal with no traffic. It’s a great place to live. "

"There are lots of outdoor spaces to walk and bike. It's also close enough to Phoenix to visit or work. "
  • Kgorski81
"Streets are becoming overcrowded as the area quickly grows and the infrastructure can’t keep up. New street lights are being added to help with flow of traffic. "
  • Chris G.
"This is paradise. Never any backup, they built the 202. This is the best place in Phoenix. "
  • Nora F.
"No public transportation is available except for a bus to downtown Phoenix from Park & Ride near Dysart and I-10. Uber is useful but expensive to use for distances of 10 + miles. "
  • Trina H.
"Goodyear is a wonderful place to raise your children the schools are nice and the neighborhoods are filled with kind polite people "
  • Yvie

  • Kristopher M.
"Generally no rules against specific breeds of dogs, and I would say about 7/10 homes have a dog. Most lots are a good size, so you’ll have please of room for your dog(s) to get exercise outside. "
  • Trulia User
"it takes about 15 minutes to get into society and be near the freeway. up the hill only has safe way and a few fast food place. online delivery services, and most places do not deliver to this area. "
  • Dewayne H.
"Many grass areas to play in. Dogs stations for bags and cleanup available. Residents tend to follow the rules of keeping their dogs on a leash. Friendly pet environment. "
  • John G.
"There are several dog bag dispensers and trash cans around the common areas to help clean up after your dog."
