Being a student at Duncan Lake is honestly a pretty good experience, especially if you care about your grades and want to be ready for high school. The Learning and Teaching here is definitely a 5 because the teachers actually know their stuff, and if you’re in advanced classes like Algebra, they make sure you're keeping up. I’d give Special Education a 5, too, because our school is a Special Olympics MVP school and everyone is super inclusive. For Social-Emotional Support and Safety, I’d say 4s—it’s middle school, so there’s obviously some drama and some kids being annoying in the halls, but the staff is usually on top of it. Family Engagement is a 4 because my parents always know what’s going on with my work through the online portals. Overall, it’s a solid school where you can find your group and actually learn something.

This school is an absolute hell and I'm only in my second semester.Several students have sexually harassed other students and only been suspended for a few days, then immediately returned. There are bugs everywhere.Bullying is a huge problem, there are very few good teachers, the food is okay, and it is generally horrible. They will spend thousands of dollars to make a new closet but won't fix the bug problem or the random broken door.

My daughter goes to this school, she reported she has been mad fun of on the bus. SHE has told therapists, the bus garage and more, No action had been done what so ever. My daughter now is suffering from sadness from the horrible school, PLEASE. If you have the chance take your kid to a different school instead of this one.

We moved from out of state and as my daughter was going into 1st grade one of the requirements of where to live was the school. And through research and word of mouth Caledonia kept coming and became our choice. We are blessed to have our daughter (now in 4th grade) go to Dutton, the school is out of this world.. the principal is amazing, knows everyone and has a great sense of humor that captivates the kids, the support/admin are just terrific, they are always there to help with a big smile. The teachers are the best, they do a fantastic hard job, kids learn and have fun, I love how they always include family in school, i truly feel like an extension of the school, and I will always be thankful to have the opportunity to have my kids (now also a son on 1st) go to this school, as my daughter needs to move building/school for 5th grade my heart is absolutely broken and I tear when I think about it, I can’t see how any school would get close to a Dutton Family is.

This center is very family oriented I am very glad that my kids belong to such a school.
