They don’t care about students mental health at all the dress code is horrible they only apply it to females the boy athletes get way more things and money for their sports girl athletes only get money for the field, jerseys, a old pitching machine, socks and the bus ride. School lunch is horrible I’ve been given old food but the lunch lady’s are kind. Teachers are ok? Ig but we don’t get any breaks it’s usually all go go go “we have milestones soon” even if we are in the first semester this school. They make everything as hard as possible. And the pe teachers are sexist and treat the boys better only like 2 good pe teachers. This school is and should be -1000000/10 the academic teachers clearly have favorites and some even pick on students this school is bad i would personally not recommend this to anyone 8th grades the best year if your in 7th i would recommend going to online school for the year because how bad 7th is.

My child has been at this school for 5 years. Pre-k and kindergarten we had no problems and excellent teachers that communicated greatly. Since 1st grade we have had multiple problems with proper communication with the teachers and them addressing parents concerns. I feel like the teachers let the electronics do most of the teaching and some maybe all start treating 2nd graders like they are in middle school, with way more than enough homework that can take my child almost 2 hrs to do after school. My child has become stress and also develop depression not just from the work but bullies that are not being address as they should be. I feel as the principal does not communicate or address parents concerns or she picks and choosen which parents she addresses, which is not ok. Especially when you leave messages and get no return call. Also, I feel this School cares more about money than they do education. Every week this school is asking parents for money and having multiple events in one week and dont even consider the parents that might cant afford or be able to Participate. And I know no parent wants their child to be the only one without or not able to Participate since they asked for money for multiple things, like I said in just ONE week, and not even considering how that can make some children feel when the parents cannot do it.Or the teachers not communicating with the parents and the parents don't even know about it until after the fact. I also believe that the school will pick favoritism's and the parents that do the PTO they will address their concern.But any other parent they put last , which is not okay nor is right. Now i am very familiar with this school for 18 years now . At first was a great school for my other child but have watch every year get worst with the principal and communication and the education

Veteran's High School boasts excellence but the administration fails to set the tone. The administration made up all sorts of excuses for why my child was not getting their educational needs met with their 504 that was on file. I was constantly emailing and calling with little to no response. The teachers are good, I will give them that. However, administration needs a complete overhaul. It is very disappointing.
