"Iāve worked from home for the past year and previously worked within 5 miles of home. With an early shift (5am), morning traffic was very low but there was an expected, but not outlandish, uptick in traffic by 3:30 when I was leaving work. Through the 5 oāclock hour, traffic got steadily worse with the occasional complete gridlock. Normal rush-hour commuting, however, I would estimate approaches double the length of drive time per the same distance relative to travel during off-peak hours. Traffic on main thoroughfares and surface roads has exponentially worsened in recent years as well with rush hour expanding both earlier and later, with little lull in between. "

"Moved here form Florida earlier this year. Grew up in Boston Ma. It has a friendly vibe, welcoming neighbors, great transit, wonderful restaurants and shopping. Everything I could ask for. I feel safe here and enjoy the weather and easy access to downtown Portland. I use TriMet transit regularly and love having access to the MAX lines. "
