Martellus Bennett Buys Hollywood Hills Home For $3.2M

The former NFL star scores big on both coasts.

Whether he’s playing tight end for the Pats, or or buying multi-million dollar real estate, Martellus Bennett manages to score big points. The recently-retired NFL star and jack-of-all-trades just dropped $3.2 million on a five-bed, six-bath home in the celebrity-filled Hollywood Hills neighborhood. Naturally, Bennett’s new pad is exactly the type of unique, forward-thinking estate you’d expect a creative mind like him to go for.

Built in 1989, the 5500-square-foot home is a beautifully designed, energy-efficient property  tucked in the Hollywood Hills. Embracing modern design, the home has sleek, stylish interiors and unparalleled sophistication. Step inside to the living room, where soaring 20-foot ceilings tower overhead. Flow into the kitchen, where you’ll find a unique, futuristic setup featuring top-of-the-line appliances opposite high-polished slab floors. Oversized fleetwood sliding doors bathe the home in airy brightness during the daytime, and illuminate it with romantic hues at dusk. Outside, a sprawling patio and swimming pool are the ideal spot to entertain and relax, while the soaring views of the city, hills, and mountains provide the ultimate ambiance. The home also features a custom wine cellar, Italian black lacquer glass interior doors, full smart home technology, and a home theater.

Martellus has a home back in Long Grove, IL, which he purchased back in 2013 for $1.205 million. While he’s now settling in the Hollywood Hills, he may have missed the chance to pal around with his former teammate, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady. Tom and his wife, supermodel Gisele Bundchen, spent millions building a French chateau-style home in the Hills, and listed it for a whopping $50 million shortly after. It was then purchased by none other than Dr. Dre. He, in turn, listed it for $35 million. Stars: They’re just like us!
