Mark Ronson Lands A $4.295 Million California Compound

It turns out, the man behind “Uptown Funk” has plenty of downtown vibes. Mark Ronson, the music producer/DJ/songwriter extraordinaire, just dropped $4.295 million on a four-bed, five-bath home in the uber-cool Los Angeles, CA, neighborhood of Los Feliz. (Other hipster celebs who have called the ’hood home include Sia and Dita von Teese.) It’s a pretty interesting development for a guy who once wrote a song called “Leaving Los Feliz.”

Built in 1935, Mark’s new Spanish Revival hacienda is a 5,218-square-foot beauty that fuses historic elegance with the glamour of Hollywood. Tucked behind gates and surrounded by lush landscaping, the exterior pays homage to its era with hand-painted tiles, a terra-cotta roof, and stone paths. The foyer features beamed ceilings, original ironwork, arched windows, and a grand rotunda with a curved staircase. In the gourmet kitchen, Carrara marble contrasts the state-of-the-art Viking appliances, while a butler’s pantry and servant’s quarters provide plenty of space.

The luxurious master suite features two walk-in closets, a dressing room, living areas, and two en-suite baths. There’s even a two-room nursery, in case Mark and his wife, model Joséphine de la Baume, decide to have any super-hip children. A secluded two-story guesthouse is also located on the property.

While he’s certainly made a name for himself as a heavy hitter in the music industry (he just produced Lady Gaga’s fifth album, Joanne), Mark has quite the star-studded family tree. Not only is clothing designer Charlotte Ronson his sister, but his other sister is DJ/former Lindsay Lohan gal pal Samantha Ronson. Clearly, good style runs in this family.
