Kate Upton And Justin Verlander Buy A New Love Nest In Beverly Hills

Ah, Hollywood! Where everybody knows your name — and the price you paid for your house. Genetically blessed couple Kate Upton and Justin Verlander (of Detroit Tigers fame) are no exception: They just purchased a five-bedroom, six-bathroom home in Beverly Hills, CA, for $5.25 million, and it’s steeped in some serious La-La Land history. But wait, there’s more: Vin Diesel owns the property next door! Do you think he’ll show up with cookies for his new neighbors?

Built in 1976, Kate and Justin’s 5,521-square-foot property embraces East Coast style while infusing the ideal indoor/outdoor aesthetic of Southern California. The home is tucked behind gates just above the famed Benedict Canyon and features open living and family rooms that are complemented by beamed ceilings and French doors. In the exquisite master suite, a pitched ceiling and fireplace make for the perfect spot for the young couple. And with Kate showing up on more and more red carpets these days, the dual closets and baths certainly won’t hurt. She’ll also need plenty of room to display her wedding dress, as the couple plan to walk down the aisle soon.

The home has three additional bedroom suites, as well as a maid’s room and a spacious bonus room, ideal for an office or studio, with its own separate entrance. Placed on a stunning 1½-acre lot, the lushly landscaped property is made for entertaining, thanks to a swimming pool and spa, multiple patios, and a tennis court. No baseball diamond for Justin, however.

In typical Hollywood style, the home has quite the celebrity pedigree. One previous owner is famed film producer Jon Peters, known for a few flicks you may have seen, like Batman and Ali. Jon also snagged the pad from another big name: In 2004, he bought the house from tennis star Pete Sampras for $3 million. (Hence the massive tennis court!) Since 2012, when Jon put the house up for sale, the home has gotten a bit of a makeover (it used to be blue!). Looks as if Kate and Justin hit a home run with their new home.
