Joan Collins, known for her role as the dripping-in-diamonds Alexis Carrington on the infamous ’80s TV show Dynasty, is saying goodbye to her Sierra Towers luxury condo in Tinseltown. The legendary British actress, who recently hung out with Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, bought the home back in 2007 for $2.7 million. The current listing price? $4.995 million.
The two-bed, three-bath spread, located in one of West Hollywood’s most coveted buildings, is a prime corner unit with views of Los Angeles that will no doubt get would-be buyers excited enough to brawl in a lily pond.
Originally built in 1965, the 2,117-square-foot home features a spacious master bedroom with two walk-in closets and multiple built-ins. (Because you know Joan’s got to have a few hundred pairs of shoes.) The marble floors and gilded bathroom décor really emphasize that whole “royalty” theme, which is perfect for an actress who recently played the mother of the Queen of England opposite Elizabeth Hurley on E’s The Royals.
The rooftop pool is an extra draw for any Los Angeleno looking to live with full amenities. Or in Joan’s case, any British dame who likes to live in the lap of luxury. Many Hollywood bigwigs have lived in the hallowed halls of Sierra Towers, including Cher, Lindsay Lohan, and the Limp Bizkit frontman who is quite possibly waiting tables now, Fred Durst. Oh, and also Friends star Matthew Perry, who ditched his unit back in 2001. (Do you think his TV Guide was delivered to Chanandler Bong?)
By the way, Joan previously owned a home in Beverly Hills, but she passed it off to actor Breckin Meyer many years ago. (He’ll always be Travis Birkenstock to us.) Breckin sold the home back in 2013, giving “two very enthusiastic thumbs up” to the process of selling his multimillion-dollar home.
