Ellen Pompeo Lists Her Whitley Heights Home For $2.795M

She may play a doctor, but she's a veritable real estate tycoon.

Ellen Pompeo’s real estate portfolio is anything but Grey. The star of the longstanding ABC drama Grey’s Anatomy just listed her two-bed, two-bath home in the Whitley Heights section of the Hollywood Hills for $2.795 million. Pompeo bought the home back in 2005 for $1.35 million, meaning she’ll make a nice chunk of change if it sells at her asking price. But let’s face it: that’s just pocket change for the lady that makes $20 million per season!

Tucked away in the Hollywood Hills neighborhood of Whitley Heights, where stars like Charlie Puth and Ginnifer Goodwin have lived, the beautiful Spanish villa is a slice of Old Hollywood glamour. Built in 1923 on a double lot, the home has been fully updated to function in the modern world while emphasizing the extensive period details with balustrade, columns, arches, and verandas. A grand two-story living room has soaring ceilings, high windows, and a lovely fireplace, while an updated chef’s kitchen has every amenity you could desire, with a connected dining room. There’s also a media room, ideal for entertaining guests. The party can continue outdoors, thanks to the sun-drenched saltwater pool surrounded by patio seating and a flat, grassy lawn. The home is surrounded by lush landscaping with sculpted hedges, a fruit orchard, and olive trees.

Ellen has scored some serious real estate during her many seasons of Grey’s: She also owns a sprawling beach house in Malibu, a property in hipster enclave Los Feliz, and a Sag Harbor property that’s currently on the market for $3.795 million. (Which she bought for the bargain price of $925,000 back in 2011!) She also listed her stunning mid-century modern home in the Hollywood Hills back in September. Now that’s one real estate portfolio we wouldn’t mind getting out hands on…
