Christina Ricci Sells at a Loss in Los Angeles

Petite actress Christina Ricci, who started the “Riccing” trend of squeezing into small spaces last year, has now exited another relatively small space — her 1,891-square-foot Los Feliz bungalow — for a much-smaller-than-expected price!

Ricci just sold the bungalow for $1,370,000. That’s $135,000 less than the $1,505,000 she paid for the place in December 8, 2005.

In April 2012, Christina put the property up for lease, asking $10,000 a month. Finally, tired of playing landlord, she listed the chic, single-story 2-bedroom, 3-bathroom home in January 2014, asking $1,695,000. Located in the most desirable area of Los Feliz, The Oaks, the home had many lookers, but no takers for months.

But what’s not to love? Located down a gated drive, the traditional-style home has an open floor plan, with living family rooms adjacent to a dining room with French doors that open to a covered patio, pool, and terraced gardens.

The 2 bedrooms are both en-suites, and Ricci’s master bedroom also includes an attached sitting room/dressing room.

Ricci and her husband, James Heerdegan, recently welcomed their first child, no doubt prompting the need for a house with a bit more space.

Adam Sires of Nourmand & Associates was her listing agent and the deal closed on November 4, 2014.
