For Katherine Power, having her Beverly Hills home for sale is a bit like letting the entire world take a look inside her (seriously stunning and highly coveted) closet.
“I’ve been in LA most of my life, and Beverly Hills is the most beautiful city here,” she says. “I love driving through Beverly Hills on my way to work and passing all of the beautifully manicured gardens and beautiful homes; it keeps me inspired.”
The style and media maven, who co-founded Clique Media properties Who What Wear and MyDomaine, has listed her Los Angeles home for $2.4 million. Power’s high-school bestie Nicole Richie put her Laurel Canyon house on the market earlier this year. So where is Power, whose Who What Wear offices have appeared on her friend’s VH1 show, Candidly Nicole, headed next?
Power and her husband, Justin Coit, are trading in this two-bed, two-and-a-half-bath English-style home for a Spanish stunner just minutes away. But moving — no matter how far — is never easy: “I will miss this little English gem to pieces!”
Tucked back from the street and covered in lush greenery, the stately white home features leaded- and stained-glass windows and hardwood floors. The location is ideal — out of the flats and above Sunset, yet low enough that everything is incredibly convenient, including walking trails in Franklin Canyon. Built in 1937, the home also includes multiple fireplaces, a built-in barbecue, and a swimming pool.
“A couple of the old listings for the house stated that it was designed by Wallace Neff,” says Power. The Southern California architect popularized the area’s Mediterranean-inspired homes, which he designed in the 1930s for movie stars including Mary Pickford and Douglas Fairbanks. “Though we were never able to prove it, it wouldn’t surprise me.”

Together, they reworked everything from landscaping and the roof to bleaching and whitewashing the hardwood floors for a fresh look.
“The way I approach home decor is very similar to how I approach my wardrobe,” says Power. “There’s a lot of high-end vintage mixed with new designer pieces (like our Brenda Antin sofa in the den), and a ton of found objects from our favorite antique spots.”
The gourmet kitchen is a confident blend of modern amenities and classic style, with a white subway tile backsplash, white cabinets, dark counters, and shiny stainless steel appliances. A standout room is the vibrant guest bath, where the walls are papered in a leafy palm pattern. Luxe yet subdued, brass fixtures and accents keep the space grounded. If the wallpaper looks familiar, that’s because it’s the same paper used in the nearby Beverly Hills Hotel.
“My husband and I eat there on the weekends,” says Power. “We have a lot of great memories associated with that wallpaper, so we wanted to bring it into the house.”
En-suite fireplaces in the two bedrooms give the sleeping areas a sense of history, while updated bathrooms ensure no one has to miss out on creature comforts, such as his-and-her sinks, snappy white marble counters, and a spacious shower with a glass enclosure.
The new owner of this home will enjoy all that Beverly Hills has to offer, but for indoor pursuits, you can kick back in the home’s 2,121 square feet. The scale helps the Los Angeles home for sale maintain a true sense of coziness and comfort. And that’s always in style.
