Steve Mnuchin Lists His Manhattan Home For $32M

It looks like the Treasury Secretary and POTUS share the same design taste!

It’s safe to say that United States Secretary of the Treasury Steve Mnuchin shares a design aesthetic with his boss, President Donald Trump. Mnuchin, who is married to former actress Louise Linton, just listed his longtime Manhattan home on Park Avenue for a whopping $32 million, and the three-bed, four-bath duplex is the epitome of gilded New York luxury. The expansive property has been in Mnuchin’s family for a significant amount of time.

Pre-war style blends with meticulous renovations to maintain the historic beauty of the property while embracing modern living. Step off the private elevator landing that opens up to a gallery with 11-foot ceilings, marble floors, and a sweeping curved staircase. On the first floor, which is dedicated to entertaining rooms, you’ll find an 800-square-foot living room with gigantic windows overlooking Park Avenue, a wood-paneled library with a wet bar, and an elegant formal dining room with large windows. A spacious kitchen has a large center island with a breakfast room and storage pantry. Top-of-the-line appliances, including a wine refrigerator and two Miele dishwashers, make this an entertainer’s dream kitchen. There’s also a maid’s room on this level, because you didn’t think Steve did dishes, did you? On the top floor, a sprawling master suite joins the three en-suite bedrooms, as well as a large den/media room. The master is ideal with walk-in closets, a wood-burning fireplace, study, dressing room, and en-suite marble bathrooms.

Naturally, Mnuchin has to spend a significant amount of time in Washington D.C., where he owns a $12.5 million home. He purchased that eight-bed, ten-bath property  just last year. Then there’s his $26.5 million mansion in Bel Air, as well as a $14.78 million estate in Southampton. No matter where he goes, it’s safe to say Mnuchin doesn’t have to count his pennies.
