Ryan Reynolds Re-lists Hollywood Hills Hideaway At A Loss

Desperate to shed his former life in Los Angeles, Ryan Reynolds has just re-listed his home high above the Sunset Strip for $1,599,000. The home was purchased by the actor in October 2007 for $1,715,000. After holding onto the home for nearly 6 years, Reynolds is ready to part with the place at a $116,000 loss so he can be fully invested in his new life in Bedford, NY with new wife Blake Lively.

This isn’t the first time Reynolds has tried to end his relationship with this Los Angeles home. He placed it on the open market in the fall of 2009 with an asking price of $1,900,000. The home wasn’t in as high demand as Ryan Reynolds himself, so he took it off the market six months later.

It came back onto the market in July 2011 with an initial asking price of $1,690,000. With no movement, Reynolds was forced to chop another $91,000 off, to bring the asking price to $1,599,000. No buyer stepped up, so Reynolds took the home off the market, until today, where it popped back onto the market with the same $1,599,000 asking price he was hoping to get in 2011. 2 years later, market conditions are in Reynold’s favor and he’s much more likely to sell the home.

The home’s listing describes it as a “sophisticated Hollywood Hills private home…at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac.” The home boasts a private entrance though walled and gated courtyard. Amenities include a newer roof, hardwood floors, solar heating, tank-less water heater and French doors throughout. The 1,789 square feet includes 2 bedrooms, 2.5 remodeled bathrooms, and a cook’s kitchen. The home is ideal for indoor/outdoor living with a gorgeous patio for entertaining and a landscaped yard with walkways overlooking canyon views.
