NASCAR Crew Chief Greg Zipadelli Lists Incredible North Carolina Lake House For $6.8 Million

NASCAR racing crew chief Greg Zipadelli is waving the checkered flag on his incredible North Carolina lake house, listing it for sale for $6.8 million.

Zapadelli made a major name (and fortune) for himself as the longtime crew chief for the #20 Home Depot car for Joe Gibbs Racing drivers Tony Stewart and Joey Logano from 1999 to 2011. He won 34 races and two championships in 2002 and 2005 as a crew chief.

Now, Zapadelli is looking for a buyer to speed on over and make an offer on the lakefront estate located near the Greg Norman-designed Trump National Golf Course that he scooped up in May 2007 for $1,175,000.

The Tudor-style home has over 13,000 square feet of living space and stunning views of Lake Norman.  The 6-bedroom, 9-bathroom gated residence features an “open flow” floor plan. Highlights of the incredible estate include an expansive eat-in, double-island gourmet kitchen, a master bedroom with a two-story closet, a gym and a large master bathroom with built-in microwave, dishwasher and fridge.

Outside, you’ll find views of the lake and a private dock. Aside from the lake, there’s also a pool with a hot tub, as well as an outdoor kitchen, bathroom and fireplace, making this a perfect venue for hosting guests.  If that wasn’t enough, the basement is furnished with a full kitchen, wine cellar and theater.

Carol Hampton of JLK Realty and Ben Moss of The Campins Company share the listing.
