We don’t blame Cleveland Cavaliers guard Jordan Clarkson for seeking out a little sunshine for the off-season. The NBA star, whose team takes on the Golden State Warriors in Game 2 of the NBA finals tonight, just dropped $3.198 million on a five-bed, seven-bath home in the sun-drenched California town of Woodland Hills. Now that’s ballin’ on and off the court!
Just built this year, Clarkson’s new home is a 5800-square-foot spread tucked behind gates. Built with a unique spin on traditional Cape Cod style, the property is filled with exquisite design. Outside, a circular driveway welcomes guests to the light-filled home. A stunning formal living area and formal dining room lead to a sliding glass door, which continues out to a sprawling, grassy backyard. A saltwater pool, spa, and barbecue center equipped with a refrigerator and fire pit are ideal for entertaining guests, which a detached cabana has an adjoining bathroom and shower of its own. Back inside, a chef’s kitchen has two large center islands, custom cabinets, and high-end stainless steel appliances. Also on the first floor is a stylish home theater, wine closet, and a one-bedroom suite that has direct access to the backyard. On the second floor, the remaining bedrooms have beautiful closets and bathrooms. The grand master retreat is truly an oasis in your own home, thanks to intricate crown molding, hardwood floors, and high cathedral ceilings with French doors that lead out to a large balcony facing the backyard. It also includes a walk-in closet, fireplace and a spacious bathroom with porcelain floors, marble shower, a free-standing tub and double vanity dressing area.
Maybe Clarkson was inspired to buy his new digs by his Cleveland teammate LeBron James, who famously dropped $23 million on an extremely lavish Brentwood estate last year. Of course, you may remember LeBron’s 30,000-square-foot Cleveland spread from a few years back, which is certainly nothing to sneeze at.
