When your former home is the Playboy Mansion, most houses must seem like a downgrade. But not for Holly Madison! The ex-girlfriend of Playboy mogul Hugh Hefner and former star of E!’s Girls Next Door just listed her six-bed, nine-bath home for sale in Los Angeles, CA, and it’s just as luxe as Hef’s mansion. (Bonus: She doesn’t have to share this home with Hef, which was the case for the lucky bidder willing to hand over $200 million for the Playboy Mansion last year.)
Holly bought the home just over two years ago for $7.1 million, so she’ll make a nice chunk of change as a profit — not that she needs it. Thanks to multiple best-selling books and a Las Vegas, NV, revue, Holly’s career is taking off!
The 8,516-square-foot home, built in 1926, is a one-of-a-kind reimagined Spanish Colonial that fuses Old World beauty with modern amenities. A grand two-story entryway continues into a stylish formal living room and then a playful game room with a built-in bar and drop-down movie projector. A wood-paneled dining room and stunning kitchen with a 20-foot Carrara marble island would be coveted by any frequent hostess. Tall glass-paneled doors open out to a welcoming backyard. Multiple seating areas include a romantic terrance overlooking the meticulously landscaped garden, alongside the swimming pool, spa, built-in barbecue, and fountains. It may not have a zoo and grotto like the Playboy Mansion, but we’re guessing the parties are pretty fun here too.
The expansive master bedroom comes complete with a fireplace, his-and-her baths, and separate walk-in closets, while the additional five bedrooms are each en suite. Additional bonuses include a rooftop deck with a peaceful golf course view, a home office, wine cellar, and maid’s quarters.
Holly spends a lot of time back in Las Vegas, where she’s in high demand on the Strip as a performer. She and husband Pasquale Rotella own a property there, which they snagged back in 2013 for $3.475 million. More importantly, the duo also have two children together, interestingly named Rainbow and Forest. Hefner, by the way, moved on too. He’s since recruited a different lady: his wife, 30-year-old Crystal Harris.
