Elizabeth Banks Buys Sherman Oaks Home For $6.8M

The actress's new digs are absolutely 'Pitch Perfect.'

Elizabeth Banks is taking Hollywood by storm. She’s known for her films ranging from The Hunger Games opposite Jennifer Lawrence to Pitch Perfect 2, which she directed and starred in. Now, the multi-talented star just dropped $6.85 million on a beautiful five-bed, five-bath home in the San Fernando Valley city of Sherman Oaks, and we think Effie Trinket would seriously approve.

Measuring 6572 square feet, the traditional ranch-style home is perched high above the street with unobstructed views of the city lights from every room. Spread out on a single story on a 49,220-square-foot flat lot, the property manages to maintain the grandeur of its size while remaining cozy and welcoming. Guests enter the property through private gates, and are greeted by French oak floors throughout. There’s a family-friendly eat-in kitchen, as well as three antique French stone fireplaces, multiple stone terraces, and a slate roof, all equipped with a full solar energy system. The master suite opens out to the sunny patio, and has a spacious master bath whose size would rival most apartments. Outside, the expansive yard is any family’s dream, while the large patio areas and swimming pool are ideal for entertaining guests. There’s also a French limestone paved motor court and four-car garage.

Elizabeth’s longtime home is a more modest four-bed, four-bath property in the Studio City hills, but we’d certainly volunteer as tribute to take this new pad off her hands.
