Diane Kruger Buys and Sells in New York, Upgrades to Chic Eco-Friendly Condo

Newly single, Diane is committing to a new bachelorette pad.

Diane Kruger is swapping addresses in New York, selling her stylish East Village pad for $1.1M and upgrading to a $4.2M condo in Tribeca.

The German actress just said ‘auf wiedersehen’ to the East Village, where she owned a 2 bedroom, 1 bedroom co-op since 2015. Listed for $985,000, a bidding war ensued, before a buyer snagged the stylish spot for $1.1M. Last summer, she told amNY about the neighborhood, saying “I feel like it’s still a little gritty. When I used to live here, you did not come there at all. It was a dangerous place for a girl to go by yourself. It’s been gentrified a lot.” Prices are rising, crime is being wrangled in and the neighborhood is shifting.

But Kruger isn’t sticking around to see it. She’s moved on to ‘greener’ real estate pastures in Tribeca, where she just bought a full-floor loft in an environmentally-conscious boutique condo building.

In a twist on a traditional New York City amenity, the Tribeca building has a discreet ‘virtual doorman’ that ensures privacy and convenience upon keyed-elevator entry to the south and north-facing apartment.

Inside, the expansive living/dining room is anchored by three oversized windows, reclaimed oak flooring and original brick wall. The custom kitchen features all locally-sourced materials, as well as state-of-the art appliances. A powder room, mud room, walk-in closet and laundry room separate the entertaining and private living space. The master suite has a grand and luxurious en-suite bathroom and impressive closet space – a must for a fashion ‘it girl’ like Diane.

Back on the West Coast, Diane and her ex-boyfriend, Joshua Jackson, have their shared West Hollywood estate on the market for $6 million.

While she’s put down definitive roots in New York, she and Jackson still own a Malibu estate they purchased together in January 2002.
