A win and a loss: The NBA star scored in Malibu on the same day he took a real estate hit in Pacific Palisades.

Forget the frenzied crowds of the Staples Center, because Los Angeles Clippers center DeAndre Jordan has found himself the ultimate private oasis. He just dropped $5.075 million on a five-bedroom, six-bathroom luxurious home in Malibu, CA (specifically, in the ultraposh, guard-gated Serra Retreat neighborhood).

With exquisite contemporary style, the home is ideal for entertaining all those NBA superfans that flock around DeAndre. Originally built in 1980, the 4,600-square-foot home has been recently remodeled and redesigned. It features everything you’d imagine for a baller like DeAndre: A gourmet kitchen with a family area overlooks the rolling grounds, which include a swimming pool and spa. And when he’s not practicing, DeAndre can embrace the sunny Southern California weather with the home’s indoor/outdoor aesthetic, including a living room that opens out to a covered terrace. There’s also a movie theater, as well as a completely separate guest suite and a resort-style yard with lush landscaping. We wouldn’t be surprised if a teammate or two ended up crashing here once in a while!

Of course, the journey to real estate royalty doesn’t always run smoothly. In September 2015, DeAndre bought a seven-bedroom, 10-bathroom estate in Pacific Palisades, CA, for $12.7 million but listed the home just over a year later for $12.4 million. Well, coincidentally, the Pacific Palisades home finally sold for $11.75 million … on the same day DeAndre snagged his new Malibu digs. If switching from a $12 million home to a $5 million one is his biggest problem, then we’re thinking DeAndre is doing just fine.
