Bob Hope's Toluca Lake Estate Officially Hits The Market For The First Time Ever, Asks $27.5 Million

The late, great Bob Hope‘s incredible Toluca Lake estate has just hit the market for the first time ever!

The home at 10346 Moorpark St, is a former walnut orchard where Bob and Delores Hope built their dream mansion in 1939. Bob Hope died in 2003 at the age of 100 and his widow Dolores Hope died in 2011 at 102 years old.

Now, the couple’s estate has put the home on the market with a $27.5 million dollar asking price. The Tolucan reported the imminent listing in November 2012, when a garage sale was held to clear out many of the Hope’s belongings.

The walled, gated and private Toluca Lake compound consists of 4 parcels totaling 5.16 acres. The original English Traditional main home was designed by architect Robert Finkelhor and then remodeled in the 1950’s by architect John Elgin Woolf. The home is 14,876 square feet and includes an indoor pool and spa. A formal reception and foyer leads to a vast formal living room with walls of glass overlooking the grounds.

The residence also includes an office, family room, bar, billiard room, formal dining room, family dining room and chef’s kitchen. Upstairs, you’ll find 4 bedroom suites and a remarkable master wing with his and hers bedrooms, bathrooms, closets and a shared study.

The 5+ acre grounds feature an outdoor pool, patios, motorcourts, sprawling lawns with 1-hole golf course, pristine gardens. Also on that property is a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom guesthouse and a 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom staff quarters.
