Blinged Out Designer Christian Audigier Selling (or Renting) Los Angeles Home

Christian Audigier, the man beyond the Von Dutch trucker hat phenomenon, the bedazzled Ed Hardy line and an eponymous clothing brand, has just listed his Western-inspired Topanga ranch for sale and for rent. List price to buy the LA-area home is $3,299,000. If you only want to try the designer’s digs on for size and not make a full-time commitment to the property, it’s available to rent for $16,500 a month.

First reported by The Real Estalker, Audigier’s home is a spectacular 1930’s historic hacienda ranch on more than 3 acres. Across the sprawling property, lush landscaping abounds and paths lead through gorgeous oaks, pines, olive trees, a stream and a young vineyard. We won’t name names, but this particular property boasts a tremendous history, as it used to play host to famous celebrities of the 30’s and 40’s. The main house is famous for its spectacular rare vintage Malibu tile scenes. Audigier completed an extraordinary restoration on the original kitchen and bathrooms plus 3-bedrooms. In addition to the main house, there are 4 guest houses and a former chapel, now described as “a romantic detached entertainment area.” In the listing photos, you can get the sense that it’s used as an on-property cocktail lounge. The Interior design and decor was created and designed by a prominent Parisian decorator, who created a Western-inspired oasis. The property also includes a resort-like pool and cabanas, large grassy yard and spacious outdoor dining area. A definite compound that serves as a private getaway away from the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles, as well as a perfect entertainer’s dream.

If Audigier’s Western-style Topanga ranch isn’t your style or speed, the designer also has another Los Angeles home on the market. In the Hancock Park neighborhood, Audigier is asking $7,650,000 for a 7-bedroom, 7-bathroom home. Purchased in early 2007 for $4,780,000, Audigier has listed the glamorous 1920’s-era mansion a few times. In October 2010, it had an asking price of $8,299,000. Now, it’s freshly re-listed for a lower price.

Here’s hoping one or both of his for-sale homes flies off the real estate rack sometime soon.

We have to ask – which one of Audigier’s properties is more your style? Let us know in the comments.
