Angelina Jolie Rumored to Have Purchased The Legendary Cecil B. DeMille Mansion

The Oscar-winning actress may be newly single, but the famous Los Feliz compound is said to be off the market.

There are regular Hollywood stars … and then there’s Angelina Jolie. The high priestess of Tinseltown’s upper echelon, Angelina is as known for her humanitarian work and large family as she is for films like Girl, Interrupted and Mr. and Mrs. Smith. And when you’re one of the most famous women in the world, an everyday mansion in Hollywood just won’t do. Angelina, who split from husband Brad Pitt back in December, may have finally settled on a post-Brad residence. The $24.95 million mansion in Los Feliz, CA, sits on 2.1 acres and spans 11,000 square feet. We’d call the six-bed, 10-bath spread a bachelorette pad, but we’re guessing Angie’s six kids will be right there with her.

The historic estate is named for its longtime owner, famed filmmaker Cecil B. DeMille. Tucked behind gates in prestigious Laughlin Park, the compound features multiple structures in the Beaux Arts style. Built in 1913, the home underwent a six-year renovation that incorporated modern amenities while still maintaining the unique, original details the property is known for. A spacious kitchen with a large center island and top-of-the-line appliances is ideal for a busy family like Angelina’s, while both casual and formal dining rooms provide plenty of space for family meals. Additional amenities include a comfortable library with plenty of built-ins and a home gym that opens out to the swimming pool area. Back in 1987, the property, which was originally two residences, was featured in an Architectural Digest spread.

A beautiful pool house and studio house with separate entrances provide plenty of space for guests. Lush landscaping and gardens line the property, with multiple paths and sitting areas. An Old Hollywood–style pool features cascading, arched fountains, surrounded by mature trees, rose gardens, and dramatic views of both Griffith Observatory and the Pacific Ocean.

Angelina and Brad have owned properties in New Orleans, LA; France; New York, NY; Goleta, CA; and the Hollywood Hills in Los Angeles, CA, where they purchased five estates piece by piece to make one giant superestate. Before they coupled up, Angelina was married to actor Billy Bob Thornton, while Brad was wed to Jennifer Aniston.
