Alyson Hannigan Lists Her Santa Monica Home For $5.1M

The former Buffy star continues to slay the real estate market.

Forget How I Met Your Mother. Alyson Hannigan could star in “How I Met Your Multi-Millionaire.” The actress and her husband, Alexis Denisof, are on their way to becoming veritable real estate tycoons, and they’ve just made another big move: They just listed their five-bed, six-bath home in Santa Monica, CA for $5.1 million. They’ve owned the property since 2002 (a lifetime in Hollywood!) when they bought it for just $1.936 million, but have been renting it out for a cool $17,500 per month. We wouldn’t mind a piece of that American Pie.

A sprawling Spanish-style home, the 4,186-square-foot property was built in 1930, during the Golden Age of Hollywood. Fully renovated to highlight the Old World details but updated with modern amenities, the home is tucked behind a gated courtyard with lush, mature gardens and water features. Guests step inside through a dramatic formal entry, and continue into the chef’s kitchen, complete with built-in window seating and a roomy dining area, ideal for entertaining. In the spacious master bedroom, there’s a kiva fireplace, vaulted, beamed ceilings, and a romantic balcony overlooking the gardens. The master bath is something straight out of a luxury spa, with an over-sized soaking tub and separate steam shower. The expansive backyard is the perfect private oasis with a grassy yard and swimming pool.

Alyson is quite familiar with the Los Angeles, CA, real estate market. Her latest purchase is a five-bed, eight-bath home in the sunny suburb of Encino, which she snagged in 2016 for $8.1 million. Back in October of 2016, she and Alexis listed their four-bed, six-bath spread in the ritzy Los Angeles suburb of Brentwood for $8.795 million, after just buying it less than a year before. And then there’s an additional home back in Atlanta, GA, which they snagged in 2014 for $810,000, and listed for $1.4 million this summer. Slay girl, slay!
