Time to paste another big-ticket property into Alyson Hannigan’s real estate portfolio! The quirky redhead and her actor husband, Alexis Denisof, just snagged a five-bed, eight-bath home in the Los Angeles suburb of Encino, CA, for $7.95 million. And this palatial pad has seen plenty of time on the big screen as well (you may recognize it from the 2007 legal thriller Fracture, starring Anthony Hopkins as a murder suspect, opposite Ryan Gosling).
The 5,472-square-foot home is a true architectural tour de force. Tucked behind gates, the contemporary-style sanctuary combines dramatic light and absolute privacy on beautifully kept grounds. Designed by Peter Tolkin Architecture, the rustic-chic residence, which was built in 2001, is spread out over 3 acres on a hillside of the San Fernando Valley. Composed of concrete and glass pavilions that open out to a large, peaceful courtyard, pool, and spa, the home is surrounded by stately oak, sycamore, and palm trees, as well as fruit trees and succulents. The property also includes a secluded one-bedroom guesthouse with its own kitchen, as well as a separate artist’s studio or gym with a full bath. A lighted tennis court is the cherry on top of this realty sundae, providing a great spot to entertain friends on the weekends … just as long as Anthony Hopkins isn’t invited. Nobody wants Hannibal Lecter for a tennis partner!
Alyson is quite familiar with the Los Angeles, CA, real estate market. Back in October, she and Alexis listed their four-bed, six-bath spread in the ritzy Los Angeles suburb of Brentwood for $8.795 million, after just buying it less than a year before. The power duo are also renting out their five-bed, six-bath Santa Monica, CA, house for the bargain price of $17,500 per month. And then there’s an additional home back in Atlanta, GA, which they snagged in 2014 for $810,000. If she ever tires of showbiz, it seems as though Alyson will be pretty comfortable in the real estate world!
