"People often do not clean up after their dogs. Very inconsiderate owners. There are plenty of potty bag a tations around the community."

"Great quiet neighborhoods with a mix of young families and retired people. Great schools and a lot of local trails. Major con is the potential traffic the new apartment/townhome developments will bring to an already high-traffic area. "

"Long lasting friendships with neighbors, quiet surroundings, lots of deer strolling through the neighborhood. "

"Great neighborhood, it is expensive though. Big houses, lots of families. Police patrol quite a bit. We are very fortunate."

"Wonderful high end community. Diverse neighborhood with very nice families. Good parks and highly rated schools. Been here for several years and we love it. Close to shopping and amenities. 10 minutes to the freeway, 25 min to downtown Seattle."

"Places to walk the dog. People keep up with taking care after their dogs. Pretty walking trails. They do need a dog park it seems"

"Way to expensive. Not sure why it's known to be close to everything. I can't even get food delivery where I live, right in the middle of Newcastle. "

"There’s a nice size dog park behind the building, which is next to the playground. There are a lot of dog owners here, but mostly loud small dogs."

"Of the 18 months in my current home, nobody has bothered to wave back, or introduce themselves. That’s why we’re moving to West Seattle. "

"We've lived in Newcastle for 5 years and can't get over the amazing nature access right out our back door. There are numerous hiking trails nearby including Cougar and Squak mountains - perfect for day hikes and nature lovers. It feels like we are in the wilderness yet are just 30 minutes drive to downtown Seattle (45 in traffic) and Bellevue, with Renton and Issaquah closer. The schools are fantastic and the access to Lake Sammamish and Lake Washington beaches a huge plus."

"This is an awesome area to live. It's close to seattle, bellevue, southcenter. It's such a great location and charming neighborhood with great restaurants and shops around. It's suitable for anyone to enjoy. Very safe, clean and has that small town feel!"

"Newcastle is a great small City to live in. It is situated close to the airport, downtown Seattle and the mountains. The Olympus Subdivision is within walking distance to the City Center and is adjacent to Lake Boren Park where many City activities take place such as the summer concerts & Newcastle Days. The Issaquah School District is well regarded. The City has a new YMCA and will have a soon to be completed library. The City did a fantastic job on the design of Coal Creek Parkway with landscaping and sidewalks so that it adds pedestrian accessibility to the city as well as serving as a transportation corridor. "
