What Locals Say about Cedarhurst

  • Trulia User
"Some don’t have pit bulls leashed while they walk em down the road and they do not listen to their owners"
  • Dub
"None that I’ve seen except stuff goin on at the churches that are around the neighborhood. They are usually pretty crowded."
  • Trulia User
"I don’t recommend living here. There are apartments in the middle of the neighborhood and constant speeding happens (ex. 45mph on a 25mph street)"
  • Emily J.
"Very close to downtown which is awesome for a short commute! Takes about 10 minutes to get there or to Carytown. Long commute to Short Pump/West End, if that’s your jam, then this is pretty far!"
  • Jonique B.
"They have car break ins sometimes but for the most part it’s an nice quiet neighborhood and a great area for walking!"
  • Emily J.
"There are lots of people who walk their dogs here. Most people pick up after their dogs. There are no sidewalks to walk on though. "
  • Mishon2
"This area is mostly populated by people who live in apartment complexes. The middle school is not great but the elementary schools are good. "
  • Brie Strong
"Safe quiet neighborhood. Convenient grocery stores and eatery with Downtown being just minutes away. Close to VCU and Community college."
  • jec_3_77
"This area is very quiet, nestled away from a lot of the bustle of Richmond - Chippenham, Powhite, Midlothian, Forest Hill, etc. But, all of that is very easily accessible! Carytown, Downtown, West End, Museums, Shopping, Dining, Bars, etc. - are all just a few minutes away. All the neighbors, and their families, are friendly and quiet. This is a great area for people from all walks of life - young couples, families starting out, singles, retirees, etc. I've lived in the area for nearly 7 years, and wouldn't want to live anywhere else!
