    "University Park (UP) is one of the premier locations and neighborhoods in the Dallas metroplex. Great access to shopping and restaurants. Many people prefer this area for the Exemplary Highland Park School District. UP has it's own police, fire and ambulance service that has immediate response, usually within 2-3 minutes they are at your location. Easy access to highways that can make a drive to downtown or the Galleria area (to the north) a quick, short commute. There is a large community pool (with expansion planned) and many parks and tennis courts throughout the neighborhood. Lots of kids and families, but also empty nesters who have remained in the neighborhood long after their children have grown up! There are many families who have lived in the neighborhood for generations. Very stable community, not transient. Lot sizes are smaller than in the suburbs but people buying in UP are paying for the location, schools, and community."
