  • Eallen55
"There are very friendly people in the Lackland Terrace area. I lived on Pony Lane for over 30 years and never had a problem. "
  • Bob J.
"Its changed since I lived here, its rough. They need better schools in the area. The highway expansion will help. The crime in the area due to too many low paying jobs and not enough community representation / involvement is typical. Keep people down and depressed enough and the neighborhood takes a hit. I am hopeing that things improve after the freeway expansion project is finished. "
  • Khysha S.
"I do not like living here, lots of drug dealers and gun shots. People steal mail and it’s not even pretty."
  • Samantha G.
"There’s many parks in the area and friendly helpful people, it’s clean and safe in my neighborhood. "
  • Kathy J.
"There are families here, but it is also a low income area. Combined with an Air Force base nearby and the high crime rate, I could not recommend free ranging your children here. Lots of street and highway construction, Spanish is a must, and while I was raised in the area and am comfortable with visiting, I would probably live in another area of town like near Potranco & 151."
  • Elizabeth Allen
"My family lived on Pony Lane for over 40 years. The neighbors were and still are very kind and are willing to help each other at any time. It is a very safe neighborhood to live in."
  • Ebackhus
"most keep to themselves but when you actually talk to someone they're often very kind. crime increases as you approach 410."
  • Charlette i.
"The San Pedro park makes it unique because it has a lot of history and an incredible natural view. It's accessbility to the nearby college make it a great way to enjoy much needed time away from stress. "
  • privetprivetprivet
"I had lived in this neighborhood for 11 years and always appreciated the friendly attitude of the neighbors and the lack of crime. It has changed some due to age and businesses changing over the years but the general "feel" is still there. John Jay High School is a magnet school with a good educational reputation, Mary Hull Elementary is two blocks away, Anson Jones Middle School also has a good reputation and is close by also."
