What Locals Say about Oakhurst

  • Trulia User
"it's a nice neighborhood with crime watch and I want to live here I visited when I used to clean swimming pools in the area so I know this area quite well"
  • Matthew B.
"I've lived in this neighborhood for a year and half, it's not safe. If you live here get cameras and an alarm system. "
  • Marylou O.
"My neighbor is small and everyone tries to watch out for everyone here and report’s anything that is not normal. "
  • Celeste v.
"The trees give the perfect shade for walks, jogging and adventures outside with the kids. The neighbors have came together go rebuild the park making it safe for kids to play."

"We law Oakhurst. The area is very safe and quiet. It was selected as Fort Worth's neighborhood of the year in 2006 and 2010. It is also a great location for downtown Fort Worth. My husband works in downtown Fort Worth and can be at work in less than 5 minutes. We also love how all the homes have so much character. You do not find that in the newer cookie cutter homes. In Oakhurst, you get the character, great location, community involvement, and safety, but still can stay within your budget. We also love going for walks as a family around the neighborhood. You often see people out walking their dogs, kids riding their bikes or working in there yards. Also a great plus for people with children is the Oakhurst park located in the middle of the neighborhood. We often have picnics there. All and all, a great place to live and raise a family. "
