"Very tight knit community , mostly mix of retired couples or young couples with young children. Many children playing , ha sconmunity sense and feel. Great distance to shops and restaurants. Has neighborhood restaurant and deli "

"nothing anymore. they allow anyone to live here now. trash everywhere, kids vandalizing people's property. "

"Glenolden is a great place to live. Its peaceful, quiet and the perfect place for kids. It's very safe spacious and pet-friendly. If your looking for an area that is the opposite of a loud crazy city come to Glenolden. Like most neighborhoods Glenolden is not perfect. If you don't drive walking or transportation is difficult. Unlike the city it is spaced out so a pizza shop might me 7 blocks away. Unless you are willing to walk that far you won't be able to get it. Its transportation is ok. Not quick but not slow. There is very few bus stops or transportation. Overall I give Glenoleden 99.9 % almost perfect!"

"Moved hear about 5yrs ago. The Good: I like that each street has its own small town kind of feel to it. All the neighbors are very involved with keeping their properties up which helps. No shortage of kids of all ages - or open space for recreation. Very close to shopping, public transit, and the airport. From what I understand the crime rate is pretty low compared to the rest of DELCO. These are good solid homes built in the late 1940 early 50's they can pretty much stand up to anything you cannot buy this kind of craftsmanship today - that said they do have the issues of older homes built in that period. Its good place for people looking to down size or young couples look for a starter home. The Bad: Property Taxes are insane! On a Row Home expect 4K+ a year in total property taxes. Traffic can be a bit much and there are many many stop signs which no one pays any attention to. The shared rear drive that all of these homes have can get annoying when/if your neighbors have visitors who park on your portion of the drive. Also, Twp is not responsible for plowing or maintence of the rear drive roads - so they are a bit rough in some areas from neglect. I do not have any children but from what I understand the quality of the School District leaves something to be desired. All in all at the time we purchased and what our budget was then I am very happy with our choice - I am in no hurry to move."
